Drake Update 2020!

Quick ninja update to Drake!

First let's get the bad news out of the way.  I have removed the free flash game playable version from the page and I will also no longer be updating the flash version of Drake.  I know, sadness all around.  Flash player got discontinued, and with html5 versions having strange artifacts when upscaling, I have not had time to figure out how to convert Drake properly to html5 without serious quality control issues.  Such a conversion is not as simple as just clicking export to html5, as the game really does run only at 64x64 pixel resolution under the hood, and relies on hardware upscaling.  I have not found a solution for html5 that does not result in strange artifacts because of rounding sprite graphic issues.  The real conversion method I currently understand I could do is to rebuild the entire game from scratch at a higher resolution.  This would involve lots of reprogramming and trying to recreate the physics at higher resolution space, so it's just not reasonable to do.

So to avoid confusion with flash error messages when new players view the page, I have decided to remove the free to play flash version.

But I also have some good news!  I added in a file selection feature to the windows version of the game!  So now you have 3 save slots to select from.  The first slot will be your old version 1.0 save file, so nothing should be lost by playing the new version.  Enjoy playing 3 times, speed run slots, share the game with a friend, whatever you like!

You can also now delete save files inside the game from the file menu too.  I thought you would appreciate not having to hunt all over your file system when you want to start fresh.  It's almost like a modern game feature or something, wow!
